Welcome to Chartwell Country Lodge and Wellness Spa
The smell of the sweet country air and the aroma of freshly baked scones and roasted coffee beans, all of this and more, just a few minutes from a host of cultural, wildlife and entertainment attractions. Travel from Chartwell in a North-Westerly direction to find history and culture in the form of the Cradle of Humankind, Wonder caves and archeological sites, Maropeng Museum, Lesedi Cultural Village and more. The area is full of wild-life viewing opportunities with elephant, lion and cheetah, crocodile and rhino parks on the doorstep. For a different kind of “wild-life” experience head in a South-Westerly direction for only a few minutes to arrive at The Barnyard Theatre, Fourways shopping mall, Designer Quarter, Cedar Square, Monte Casino entertainment and casino complex. Fine restaurants, pubs, theatres, cinemas all abound in the immediate vicinity. The Lodge does transfers to and from major centres including Lanseria airport(12 kms) and O R Tambo(Johannesburg International)(38 kms).

Meals
Apart from our delicious breakfasts (full English, health, choice of omelettes, fresh fruit, yogurt, cereals, assorted fresh fruit juices) we do cater for other meals by prior arrangement. There are some 70 restaurants, some of them very fine ones, within a radius of 5kms. These range from takeaways like KFC, Steers, Nando’s chicken, Pizza-Perfect, Debonnaires Pizza and the ever-present Chinese, to A-La-Carte restaurants serving Steaks, Seafood, Italian, Indian, Thai, French, Portuguese, South American and South African cuisine. You may take your pick!

At Chartwell Country Lodge and Wellness Spa we specialize in giving couples and individuals a relaxing and rejuvenating break from the hustle and bustle of the busy corporate world. People come to celebrate special occasions (honeymoons, anniversaries, birthdays etc.) or just for a well-deserved break. Whilst our guests can relax in our tranquil country setting, they are still only minutes away from the “action” – Monte Casino, Fourways Mall, Cedar Square, Designer Quarter – shops, movies, theatre, restaurants, casino and much more! If you want to just stay at the Lodge we can prepare whatever meals you require including romantic dinners. Country Style Gauteng Conferences
This magnificent lodge with its rolling lawns and shimmering dams is tranquil, serene and perfect for Business Executives to “brain storm”. Our small conference room accommodates up to 10 delegates and a second conference room caters for up to 22 delegates in “U” configuration, or 30 in class-room style, and 60 in cinema layout. Set on a secure 7 acre country property with waterfalls, dams and magnificent sunset views, Chartwell Country Lodge Conference facilities are the ideal setting to bring focus to problem-solving and life back into perspective.
Our rate of R295.00 per delegate includes welcome tea/coffee, biscuits, mid-morning break with refreshments and snacks, three course buffet lunch and mid-afternoon break with refreshments. Fully comprehensive quotes are available upon request. Many, many company recommendations and comments from previously satisfied customers are also available.
Cancellation Policy: SPASforafrica adheres to the individual cancellation policies of our spas.
Lodge & Spa Cancellation Policy: The policy of Chartwell Country Lodge with regards to cancellations is in line with Guest House and Bed and Breakfast industry standards.
Cancellation Terms :
Failure of the customer to arrive, or cancellations made 0 to 14 days prior to the agreed arrival date forfeit 100% of the deposit.
Cancellations made 15 to 28 days prior to the agreed arrival date forfeit 75% of the deposit or 25% of the booking quote value, whichever the greater.
Cancellations made 29 days or more prior to the agreed arrival date forfeit 50% of the deposit or 25% of the booking total, whichever is the greater.
On receipt of a written instruction to cancel the reservation, including bank details, we will refund the applicable amount, within 3 working days. Chartwell Country Lodge levies a 7% administration fee on any refunds processed. Should refunds to a SWIFT bank account be required, an additional R185 charge will be levied.

Directions: From Intersection of William Nicol with N1 South
-Where the SANDTON R511 WILLIAM NICOL DR. crosses the N1 South (Concrete Highway) travel away from Sandton toward Fourways for 2km and cross MONTECASINO BLVD/KINGFISHER ROAD
-Take the next off ramp left marked R564 W WITKOPPEN ROAD/HONEYDEW.
-At the top of the ramp keep to the right hand side of the road and turn right at the first traffic light into R552 CEDAR AVENUE/LANSERIA.
-Travel along CEDAR for 3.5km going through 5 traffic lights.
-At the 6th traffic light turn left into THIRD AVENUE/CHARTWELL (sign says “Cranfield Aviation College)” just after BROADACRES SHOPPING CENTRE and BARNYARD THEATRE.
-Landmarks along Cedar Avenue
-After turning into Cedar the first traffic light is intersection of FOURWAYS BOULEVARD.
-Travel for 0.5 km and next traffic light is intersection of CAMPBELL to the left and URANIUM to the right.
-Go straight, passing LIFE FOURWAYS HOSPITAL on the left(third traffic light here).
-Travel for 1.7 km. Next traffic light is entrance to Cedar Lakes Residential Complex on the left.
-Go straight for 200 metres to the next traffic light which is intersection of VALLEY road; there is a BP GARAGE on the left and BROADACRES Shopping Centre.
-The next traffic light(the sixth on Cedar) is THIRD AVENUE/CHARTWELL.
-There is no road sign but there is a sign on the right at the traffic light saying “CRANFIELD AVIATION COLLEGE” Turn left into THIRD AVENUE.
-Travel 1.5km down THIRD AVENUE passing ZULU NYALA Conference Facility crossing over TWO stop streets. CHARTWELL COUNTRY LODGE is on your left.
