By Air:
The closest national airport to Pezula is George Airport, an hour's scenic drive along the coastline. Port Elizabeth Airport is two and a half hours by car.
Scheduled flights:
OR Tambo International Airport (Johannesburg Airport) to George Airport (2 hours)
OR Tambo International Airport to Port Elizabeth Airport (1 hour 45 minutes)
Cape Town International Airport to George Airport (30 minutes)
Cape Town International Airport to Port Elizabeth Airport (1 hour 10 minutes)
Charters:
Helicopter transfers from George Airport to Pezula (approx 25 minutes). Charter flights in an eight-seater Hawker jet can be arranged from anywhere in Africa to Plettenberg Bay Airport. It is a 20 minutes chauffeur drive from Pezula Resort Hotel & Spa. Plettenberg Bay Airport can also be used for guests who charter their own aircraft. Pezula offers a luxury chauffeur service between Pezula and George, Port Elizabeth and Plettenberg Bay Airports, or can arrange car hire from any destination in South Africa.
By Road:
Pezula is an easy, scenic drive from Port Elizabeth or Cape Town, with many stops along the way to refuel or enjoy a light meal. The route is along the N2 national highway.
From Cape Town (±500 kms /311 miles)
-Take the N2 from Cape Town to Knysna passing Somerset West, Caledon, Swellendam, Albertinia, Mossel Bay and George.
-Continue along the main road through Knysna, past the Provincial Hospital on the left.
-After the Caltex Petrol Station on the right, turn right into George Rex Drive (road to Knysna Heads).
-Immediately after Knysna Golf Club, turn left into Wilson Street and right at the circle into Duthie Drive.
-Follow Duthie Drive up the hill to Pezula Resort Hotel & Spa (this is well sign-posted)
From Port Elizabeth (±260 kms /162 miles)
-Take the N2 from Port Elizabeth to Knysna, passing Humansdorp, Storms River and Plettenberg Bay.
-As you drive into Knysna, turn left into George Rex Drive (road to Knysna Heads).
-Immediately after Knysna Golf Club, turn left into Wilson Street and right at the circle into Duthie Drive.
-Follow Duthie Drive up the hill to Pezula Resort Hotel & Spa (this is well sign-posted)
From George Airport to Pezula:
-From the George Airport, take the N2 to Port Elizabeth / Knysna. The best way is to turn RIGHT when leaving the airport entrance, then
turn left onto the N2 dual carriageway (George Airport is very small - not possible to get lost). The N2 passes through the Wilderness,
Sedgefield and then into Knysna.
-The drive is approximately one hour and it is very scenic. NOTE - there are many changes in speed limits along this route, and just as
many speed cameras, so please observe the limits carefully!
-Travel through the town of Knysna, then at a traffic light, on the left you will see a Kwik Spa and Caltex Garage, straight after this, look out
for an intersection with a road to the right called George Rex Drive. It is signposted to 'The Heads', Leisure Isle & Pezula. Turn right here
and travel along George Rex Drive, passing the Knysna Golf Course on the left.
-Turn left into Wilson Street, (watch out for the speed
humps, some of them are very nasty) then turn right at the traffic-circle into Duthie Drive. This is the road up to Pezula. Proceed all the
way to the top of the hill, through the Security point, straight on and the Pezula Resort Hotel and Golf Club will be on the right hand side.
From Plettenberg Bay/Port Elizabeth:
-Follow the N2 from Plett to Knysna.
-After cream-pink Cluster houses on the left, before the Caltex Garage, slip-off road to left into George Rex Drive (road to Knysna
Heads/LagoonView).
-Immediately after Knysna Golf Club, turn left into Wilson Street, (Pezula Signboard) round the circle (3 o'clock) and follow Duthie Drive up the hill to Pezula.
- After the boom gate first entrance to right.
From George:
-Follow the N2 from George to Knysna.
-Continue through Main Road of Knysna past hospital on the left.
-After Caltex Garage on right, turn right into George Rex Drive (road to Knysna Heads).
-Immediately after Knysna Golf Club, turn left into Wilson Street, (Pezula Signboard) round the circle (3 o'clock) and follow Duthie Drive up the hill to Pezula.
-After the boom gate first entrance to right.
